Hi, I’m Taisia!

About Taisia

My name is Taisia Ambers, and I am a personal development and mindset coach and the founder of Taisia Talks Life LLC. I’m not just here to toss around feel-good clichés or quick fixes. I’m your go-to coach who’s walked the walk and talked the talk. Growing up in the Bronx, I saw firsthand how life’s challenges don’t come one at a time and how complicated things can get when you’re juggling tough situations, identity, and systems that don’t always work in your favor. Those early experiences shaped how I see people, struggle, and growth, and they continue to inform the way I coach today.

For nearly a decade, I’ve worked in a variety of social service settings, supporting individuals and families facing real, complex challenges. I’ve been in the trenches with people during some of their most difficult moments, helping them find clarity, regain agency, and move forward with intention. This work embodies who I am at my core because it’s a calling rooted in genuine care and grounded in both personal and professional experience.

My Background & Training

Here’s the real deal on why I’m qualified to guide you.

  • I hold a Master’s degree in Ethics & Society from Fordham University, which allows me to support clients in making values-aligned decisions with integrity and social awareness.

  • I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Culture and Deviance Studies from John Jay College, where I developed a strong understanding of social identities, cultural dynamics, and the pressures people face when navigating systems and expectations.

  • I also earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from John Jay College, equipping me with skills in conflict coaching, mediation, and facilitating difficult conversations with clarity and fairness.

  • Additionally, I hold an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Monroe University, where I gained a deep awareness of systemic disparities and how larger social structures impact individual lives.

How I Coach

I specialize in culturally sensitive coaching because your identity, experiences, and background matter. Coaching should meet you where you are, not where someone else thinks you should be.

When you work with me, you’re not just getting a coach. You’re getting someone who understands the complexities of your journey, respects your experiences, and is committed to helping you build self-trust, confidence, and clarity. I’m here to hold space with care, challenge you when needed, and support you as you create a life that feels authentic and aligned.
